Briggs Repeat Winner at Humberstone

When it comes to starting positions, who wouldn't want to start on the pole for a $3000 to win 30 lap feature event? Rick 'Boom' Briggs drew the number one starting position after the redraw at Sundays All Canadian Special Night at Humberstone Speedway. It may be called the "All Canadian" but 5 visiting Americans were found in the top 6 finishing positions of the Ontario Dirt Late Models race.

Since the ODLM began back in 2003, they have been invited to participate in the special Civic Holiday event, and every year, have seen Americans join the Ontario drivers in the super late model race.

Boom Briggs, of Bear Lake PA, is now two for two, having won the ODLM Humberstone race last August.
Starting all the pole, he led all 30 laps, only being slowed down by 3 minor cautions.

Hot on his trail was Mike Knight of Ripley, NY. Going through lapped traffic gave the other top contenders of Greg Oakes of Frankliville NY, Chad Valone of Warren PA , Chris Ross of Wallaceburg ON and John Lobb of Frewsburg NY the opportunity to shorten the gap between the top 6 cars.

Across the finish line came Briggs, Knight,Oakes, Valone, Ross and Lobb.
